Thank You Cards from Kids

Growing up I was taught the value of a handwritten thank you note. Did you know a lot of people don't do this anymore? I am surprised how few people actually take the time to write thank you notes. It means so much to me when I get one from someone. For all my kid's birthdays I try to be "creative" in writing their thank you cards to the special people in their lives who helped make their birthday extra special. Ethan's 2nd birthday just passed and we made these thank you notes. I think they came out cute.
My favorite way to do a kid's thank you note is to make a small sign that says "Thank You" and take a picture of them holding the sign. I glue the picture onto a blank white card and write a personal note on the inside, and of course have them sign their name if they are old enough or color a little on the inside.
All you need are blank note cards (Joann's often has these on sale for 40% off), a glue stick, and pictures of your cutie holding a thank you sign. I prefer to use the 4x6 size pictures and then order however many I need from snapfish or walmart.com. I made 12 thank you cards and the cost total was under $5
Another great idea for really little ones who can't hold up a sign is to trace their hands on construction paper and glue them on the front of a card. Feel free to share any other great ideas for kid's thank you notes!
